Business people invited to tackle carbon management |
|||
Business men and women have been invited to attend the quarterly meeting at the Town Hall in Maidenhead to hear about ways of taking actions to reduce their companies’ carbon footprint.
The meeting will be held on Thursday December 13 from 8am to 9.30am over breakfast. The Royal Borough’s Thriving, Cleaner, Greener Ambition Group will also review ideas to enhance the borough’s appearance, tourism, transport and economic development. The main concerns of the group include: • supporting their residents and businesses to achieve their economic potential • promoting tourism • improving the appearance of the borough • promoting sustainable and healthy lifestyles • improving the way people travel on the roads and paths Cllr Christine Bateson said: “Through the TCG group the council and business can work together to develop practical ways of improving the borough. I would encourage as many businesses as possible to get involved and help make a positive contribution to the community.”
